Lagos State Government Receives Lagos Tourism Ambassador Pelumi Nubi
The Honourable Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, welcomed Lagos Tourism Ambassador Pelumi Nubi to her office on Tuesday, as part of a courtesy visit. The meeting provided an opportunity for Pelumi to share her plans to further promote Lagos as a prime travel destination, particularly as she marks the one-year anniversary of her remarkable solo road trip from London to Lagos.
Pelumi's incredible journey, which took place in April last year, earned her recognition from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who subsequently appointed her as a Lagos Tourism Ambassador. Her adventure has placed Lagos firmly on the global travel map, and the State is committed to leveraging inspiring stories like hers to promote tourism, adventure, and cultural experiences in Lagos.
As Pelumi celebrates this milestone, she is also exploring ways to give back to the community. The Lagos State Government is eager to support her efforts, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to empowering individuals who promote the State's rich cultural heritage and tourism offerings.
