#Tribute to a Gentle Soul: Pastor Matthew Hayes Ochepa

I'm deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Pastor Matthew Hayes Ochepa, a man who was more of big brother figure – he was my  elder brother Dr Phil Osagie best pal., he was also one of my mentor, and a shining example of a true gentleman.

Growing up, I had the privilege of watching Pastor Ochepa visit our home in Jos, and I was always in awe of his impeccable style, his calm demeanor, and his infectious kindness. He was a man who carried himself with quiet confidence and dignity, always with his clutch bag neatly tucked under his arm.

As a young boy, I looked up to Pastor Ochepa as a role model, and I often found myself wanting to emulate his sense of style and calm composure.

 His younger brother, Shegus Ochepa, was my schoolmate at Saint Murumba's College in Jos,( two classes ahead of me) and I can attest to the fact that the Ochepas are a family of good people, known for their kindness, generosity, and strong values.

The news of Pastor Ochepa's passing has left me with a deep sense of loss, but I take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. 

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Ochepa family, particularly his immediate family, for the loss of this extraordinary man.

May God grant the Ochepa family the fortitude to bear this huge loss, and may Pastor Matthew Hayes Ochepa's soul rest in perfect peace.
