FINANCIAL LITERACY FOR ALL STAGES MAJOR EVENT IN LAGOS

A major financial freedom event was last weekend successfullly staged in Ojodu Berger area of Lagos.



    The programme  was facilitated by Financial Literacy for All (FLFA), a non-profit organisation providing on-the-ground financial training workshops for students and young adults in underserved communities. The goal is to ensure young adults are well informed about their personal finance management, which a larger percentage of them needs to be informed.




On the 2nd of September,2023, Gabriel Chisom Jessica, one of the Fin Green Ambassadors, mobilised about 30 people, speaking on the importance of Financial Literacy.Financial literacy is very key in the areas of economic growth, supporting businesses, governments and communities achieve financial goals.This was done with the aim of creating a financially savvy community irrespective of their fields and expertise.



The FinGreen programme basically aims at transforming the lives of people into confident, aware and all-round personal development; safe to say that the focus is more than financial knowledge, with the helped of trained individuals, going into communities to reach out to the society regarding this programme.Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and get clarifications during the seminar, shedding more light and highlighting each significance of the event.The audience, participated in group activities, showing the differences in people’s priorities.

There was room for the attendees to connect with one another, ,and in the end, positive feedbacks were given, some in anticipation for a second seminar.Special thanks and acknowledgement to the sponsors of the successful event; QNET, TRANSBLUE and CADEF.
