“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
BY MIKE CERUTTI OSAGIE
Long after her demise, the name ,Mother Theresa is still being talked about globally based principally for the manner in which she touched the lives and all and sundry
Along the line of her good works, she came out with several humanitarian sayings and one of the greatest till date is the one which says
" If you cannot feed hundred souls, feed just one"
Today is there is one woman philanthropist living to the 1 vs 100 law, that brand is non other than Barr. Ebele IYIEGBU- the wife of the famous billionaire business tycoon Chief Obi Iyiegbu also called Obi Cubana
Indeed, the woman , Ebele IYIEGBU can be described as a woman of many parts... lawyer, an event manager, an Enterpreneur and a Philanthropist who Founded her NGO body called Kiek Foundation”, basically created to help and care for the underprivileged persons in our societies, with operational networks across Nigeria.
Beyond taking care of underprivileged children, the lawyer ,wife and mother also has as her key objective & goals.. as eradicating poverty and creating opportunities for children, especially in areas of education, guidance and healthcare.
In a recent charity events where she raised the hope of several hitherto hopeless kids, Barr. Ebele told the gathering thus:
" God has blessed me beyond my expectations, many sadly are not finding life easy, so I vowed they I will forever be grateful to God by being committed and dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children through healthcare and education.
" My interest in childcare and development was birthed out of her passion for kids and a visionary move to ensure that they become what God has created them for, hence I will keep giving home to young one's as long as I live on earth
An official of her organization, during the course of our research on Barr. Ebele ‘s charitable works told us that her cardinal mission for Kiek Foundation is to place cogent emphasis on projects that further aide the provisions of a comfortable growing environment for children and Adults, access to good education, healthcare, food and other basic amenities.
• In nutshell, The KIEK foundation can be described as a non- governmental organization established with the aim of improving the lives of the less privileged children in our society through quality education, healthcare, nutrition and child’s right governance.
Since its inception in 2018, the foundation has impacted positively on the lives of over 5,000 disadvantaged children, orphaned, street kids, ill and the physically challenged children and young adults in several towns and villages across the country through its various outreaches and projects such as: from street to class initiative, the One child One plate project, the Healthcare and the Nutrition project, the One Child One Book project, the Orphanage project, Rural area children and teens in ICT, THE Compassion Action Outreach and the One Child One Gift Project among others.
To see our society afford every child the opportunities to live a fulfilled life.
To restore hope to the less privileged children by combating poverty through quality education, healthcare and nutrition which enable them actualize their potentials.
~ No doubt, this woman called Ebele is not relenting daily in her quest to meet and surpass the 1 vs 100 law of mother Theresa and is today feeding, educating and taking care of underprivileged people and several hitherto hopeless kids
More Grace of God upon her life and aspirations
