Today,we present the various categories which will be guided by the recommendations of the FECHA PROJECT LTD Advisory Committee.

1. Volunteer to Community Service of The Year
Individual, group or organization that have successfully contributed to Edo cultural heritage and values with commitment and selflessness towards ensuring that the rich culture of Edo land is uphold and promoted, with charitable and environmental activities onsocialist voluntary basis to community service and advocate for social causes.
2. Best Influencer of Edo State Polities
Individual or group that have successfully contributed to Edo cultural heritage with commitment and selflessness towards ensuring that the rich culture of Edo political philosophy and dignity is uphold, protected and promoted, through charitable political influence and advocate for social causes.
3. Learning Program to Community of The Year
Individual or group that have successfully contributed to Edo cultural heritage with commitment and selflessness towards ensuring a structured learning programs in Edo state, that will help develop relationship and problem solving skills to conquer the diverse challenges facing society and advocate for social causes.
4. Innovation to Community of The Year
Individual or group that have successfully contributed to Edo cultural heritage and values with commitment and selflessness towards ensuring a structured innovative programs in Edo state, an innovative community is were ideas can be freely exchange which can help a productive discussion in society, and help reduce risk, inspire trust and create open communication in the state and building the culture of innovation.
5. Community Youth Empowerment of The Year
Individual or group that have successfully contributed to Edo cultural heritage and values with commitment and selflessness towards ensuring and encouraging community youth empowerment in Edo state, thereby providing skill acquisition programs, social entrepreneurship, inclusion of youth in decision making in politics and community affair.
6. Sustainable Project to Community of The Year
Individuals, group or organizations that have successfully contributed to Edo cultural heritage and values with commitment and selflessness towards ensuring and encouraging sustainable projects in Edo state such as schools, industries and other businesses, thereby providing skill acquisition programs, social entrepreneurship, employment opportunity and philanthropy, these features offer the opportunity to achieve the maximum social economic and environmental benefit in various community in Edo state.

Someone who has successfully contributed to Edo cultural heritage through commitment and selflessness towards ensuring and encouraging youth mentoring programs in Edo state, to improve the well-being of youth by providing a role model to support youths academically, socially and personally, who has over the years mentored youth who need or wants a caring and responsible adult in their lives, who is also proving skill acquisition programs, social entrepreneurship and philanthropy, these features offer the opportunity to achieve the maximum social economic and environmental benefit in Edo state.
10. Outstanding Youth of The Year
Youth that has successfully contributed to Edo cultural heritage through commitment and selflessness towards becoming an outstanding youth of Edo sate, who is encouraging and mentoring youth like them in Edo state, by changing the narratives with their outstanding performance, someone who keeps their heads up even in the challenging circumstances, which give other youth in the state the mindset never to give up, that the precise time is now to move mountain, just as they have move heaven and earth to make name for themselves, and becoming a role model to youths socially and personally, these features offer the opportunity to achieve the maximum social economic and environmental benefit in Edo state.
11. Best influencer of Edo culture and heritage of the year
Someone who have successfully contributed to Edo cultural heritage through commitment and selflessness towards ensuring that the rich culture and heritage of Edo people is preserved and promoted, with advocated charitable influence and advocate for Edo people and culture.
2.2 Edo Cultural Heritage Heroes Awards Procedure
The Awards will commence with an extensive public nomination process lasting a minimum of three months.
The commencement of the public nomination process will be announced in a variety of media sources throughout the state.
Members of the public will be invited to nominate for one or more of the award categories.
Following the completion of the public nomination period, the nominations will be reviewed by Council’s Heritage Advisor or delegated Planning Officer to ensure compliance with local planning policies.
Council’s Heritage Advisor or delegated Planning Officer will prepare a shortlist of nominations based upon the Assessment Criteria and Conditions outlined below. This shortlist will be assessed by a judging panel from the FECHA PROJECT LTD Advisory Committee. The Judging Panel will use the Assessment Criteria and Conditions outlined within these Guidelines to determine successful entries. Only one award may be given in each category.
The Judging Panel will advise Council of its Awards recommendations. An evaluation matrix of eligible nominations and judging panel recommendations will be provided to Council.
The successful nominations will then be honoured at a special Edo Cultural Heritage Awards ceremony.
2.3 Edo Cultural Heritage Heroes Awards Assessment Criteria and Conditions
The following assessment criteria and conditions have been prepared to allow the Judging Panel to determine whether the nominations successfully demonstrate the conservation principles and procedures outlined. It does not prescribe the techniques to be used or the manner in which a place should be cared for.
These principles and procedures can be applied to a monument, building, garden, rock art site, road, mining, industry or archaeological site, etc., or to a whole region.
