In a rare frank confession some years back with this word smith  on the motivation that made him move mountain to set up one of  the classiest fashion/style edifice in Nigeria , and one of the biggest in Africa, Mudi Africa came  up with facts never alerted in prints

Months after the open declaration of the MUDI AFRICA PLAZA,by the then  LAGOS STATE governor, SAN Raji Fashola,Mudi postulated to WORLD LEADERS ONLINE MAGAZINE that: ‘ In truth, I was motivated when I saw what some other people that have not got two head did in their chosen industry

’ I saw what men like THIS DAY publisher, Chief Nduka Ogbaigbena did to the media industry, how he changed the game of newspaper business in Nigeria to became multi billion naira business, I was marvel, I also saw how men like Tony Elumelu and Jim Ovia did to the banking world, turning it over from tally number days to a prestige and pretty bride like item. AND  I told myself with determination , I can do same for the style business by bringing more style into it, and to glory of God, that is what I have made to do today, it is men like Nduka and Elumelu that spurred me to achieve my big goal’’

 

Today the story has taken another dimension as the brand is now re-birthing in Abuja,where only last Sunday The Mudi Relaunch took Abuja unawares. It not only attracted heavy weights from major sectors of the society but went a long way in redefining the true essence of the Capital City as a major magnet for glamour.

 

The event which had in attendance legendary Actor and Media Entrepreneur Mr.Richard Mofe Damijo who happens to me an iconic muse for the brand was co-chaired by the Honourable minister of state for Health Senator Onanimbe Mamora.

 

He was ably supported by Honourable minister of state for labour Barrister Festus Keyamu who in a very lighthearted banter took the well curated crowd down memory lane, regaling us with stories of his Childhood in Ughelli where he and Mudi trudged the streets in careless childhood abandon.

 

The Honourable minister for works and housing Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN) who was avoidably absent was ably represented by his special assistant.

 

Othertop dignitaries in attendance at the event include Super Sport presenter Mozez Praiz, Osaro Onaiwo, Frances Okumagba, the publisher of Abuja enquiry Dan Agbawe, Azania Omo-Agege, Julius Rone, the irrepressible social media influencer,  pen/brand advisor and author ,Chief Mike Cerutti Osagie just  to mention a few.



 




The Entertainment industry was represented by popular Comedian Okey Bakassi who regalled the audience with classic one liners cementing his reputation as an evergreen entertainer. Other members of the Entertainment world represented included Joseph Edgar also known as The Duke of Shomolu Theatre Producer and Columnist and Sam Adeyemi popular Radio Presenter with Kiss FM Abuja.

 

The night was no doubt one of high opulence and panache that will no doubt be talked about for a very long time to come…..MUDI IS HERE TO STAY
