#Thinking outside the box...

By Mike Cerutti Osagie

The name Felix King Eiremiokhae is one that needs little or no introduction before taking his place of pride and dignity in the business and philantropic world

He was former musician and showbiz Mogul, but he thought outside the box and today living his philantropic dream

Indeed ,we must learn to think outside the box; leave our comfort zone if we must evolve and live our dream

So focused on his desires, his  Felix King Foundation recently  launched a  $1m relief fund for rural African women

This is  a bid to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on rural women, the Felix King Foundation has restrategised its rural community engagement programmes for African women by setting aside a new $1 million fund for the better life for rural African women scheme.

The scheme is to ensure that the most vulnerable women are not left behind in the recovery process.

As well, the programme is the continuation of the Rural Market Moni scheme that is now renamed “Better Life for Rural African Women” in line with present objective of ensuring that women, mostly, in rural communities, have a platform to reset their lives.

According to Felix King Eiremiokhae, founder of the foundation, “Rural communities are the most hit during this period with cases of malnutrition and malaria rising in numbers, and sources of income depleted.”

In 2019, the foundation launched goal 36, 000 by 2029 to reach and impact thirty-six thousand women in 10 years. Despite the effect of the pandemic, the foundation still believes in the goal

Prior to the establishment of Felix King Foundation, Eiremiokhae, an industrialist and philanthropist of international repute, had commenced philanthropic works early in life. In 2018, Eiremiokhae, who is the CEO of MABISCO, Nigeria’s only 100 percent owned multibillion-naira biscuit company, earned the Honorary Georgia Citizen, USA, and a recipient of President TRUMP’s lifetime achievement award, as well as, Honorary Doctorate from Trinity University USA.

Felix King Foundation was set up in 2014 by Eiremiokhae and his wife, Aderonke, in his desire to see that no woman is left behind. The Foundation has been involved in several programmes such as the annual International Widow’s Day

symposium to address the challenges of widowhood in Africa, the Widows Market Moni, Rural Women Cooperative Scheme and The Startup Africa conference aborted by COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

Eiremiokhae, a firm believer in the empowerment of rural African

women, believed that better life for rural African women would bring hope, progress, prosperity and development to the hardworking but disadvantaged women and their communities as the world recovers from covid-19.

° Key lesson.. It is good venture to look outside your initial calling and venture in other areas, the Felix King sample
