I learned decent time management from them. It is a way of living for them.
"Respect for time is paramount. If a Japanese man gives you an appointment for 1 pm, before that time he is there. They don’t come 15 minutes before or 10 minutes after. Once it is time of the date they knock on your door. If he comes two minutes late, he apologizes for almost 10 minutes for being late because it is simply not accepted in their culture, that habit is now part of me
