BRIEF FACT ABOUT EL –AMIN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Founded by late first lady, Mrs Maryam Babangida .The school is located in the delightful central savannah belt of Nigeria, Minna, Niger State. It is sited on over 10 hectares of land and houses the primary and secondary schools with different access points. It is accessible by road or by air, as the airport in Minna is operational.
The establishment of EL-AMIN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (Secondary) in September 1995 was a product of direct response and natural progression from its precursor, the primary school that was set up two years before, in 1993. The brimming success of the primary school within three years of its operation served as a catalyst to the starting of its secondary.
The School is headed by a Principal who is assisted by a Vice- Principal (Academics), two Head of Sections (Upper and Lower), a Student Affairs Officer, and the Heads of Departments. Together with the Senior Management Team, they oversee the day- to- day running of the school.
All academic staff at El-Amin are subject graduates with the additional education diploma statutory for working in a secondary school. In addition, most have gained their Masters degrees in their different specialisms.
The non-academic staff, are a range of specialist responsible for the care provision of matrons and patrons, maintenance, catering, medical, administrative and finance, sanitary and laundry, security, transport, and the school Imam
Policy formulation and administrative procedures are the responsibility of the school Management Board.
