The story of " Salt of nation " state Ebonyi is case study, where politician and a strong man of God, His Excellency, Engineer David Umahi was returned with little or no resistance
Yes....Umahi emerged the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for Ebonyi State governorship election in 2019
( sole aspirant for the office of the governor )in the absence of any other contestants which made him go into the contest unchallenged

Declaring Governor Umahi winner and the candidate of the PDP for Ebonyi governorship election, the Chairman of the electoral panel, Senator Joy Emordi said Governor Umahi polled a total of 1,988 votes out of the 1990 accredited delegates
She said despite the fact that Umahi was the sole aspirant for the position, a situation that would have been decided by voice votes, the decision to go into normal election was based on the party’s internal democracy to enable INEC to monitor the proceedings.
Senator Emordi described the exercise as very orderly, peaceful and organized
Speaking shortly after he was declared the winner of the PDP primary election, Governor Umahi dedicated the victory to God and said he was humbled by the show of solidarity and commitment of the members of PDP and Ebonyi people in general which he said had enabled him to achieve monumental development in the state within three years in office.
He thanked the leadership of the party for providing a level playing field for all aspirants to contest in all the positions
* No doubt, Umahi, a strong leader in Christ Embassy is indeed favored by God in life & politics
