Zinox Technologies Ltd.in a new and most ambitious move has finally released its future visions roadmap under which the company will be rolling out the first set of new products designed in partnership with foreign tech firms – Intel Corp., Ashour Corporation, Tecsync Technology Co. Ltd. and Microsoft.
In what
industry watchers described as a most ambitious move, Chairman, Zinox Group,
Mr. Leo Stan Ekeh, said that the vision is an ambitious project underpinned by
research and development that will see the various companies in the Zinox Group
diversify into new business areas with products in critical emerging sectors
including Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Healthy Living, Core ICT,
Internet of Things, Medicine, FMCG, Entertainment and Education, among others.
According to Ekeh “As the world is shrinking at an unprecedented
pace as a result of the impacts of new technologies, new audiences are emerging
with a demand to consume new products. The Zinox Future Visions mandate,
therefore, is to anticipate where the world is headed and be ready with the
right products and solutions.
“With a strong, young research and development team with an
average age of 28 except me, the Group has the requisite human
capital/resources, financial muscle, carrying capacity, and industry-knowledge,
street-smartness with credible global partnerships to further diversify into
hitherto-uncharted territories and take dominance of these areas.”
Among the first set of exciting products to be launched under
the Zinox Future Visions is the GTX laptop: the world’s smallest laptop and the
Kids Legacy Tab, a device targeted at kids between the ages of 3 to 13 who
would have the critical foundation to lead in their chosen fields in future.
Built to meet the computing needs of a dynamic audience, the
ultra-slim GTX laptop is a powerful tool. The device runs on Intel Cherry Trail
OS with 1.9GHz computing power and a durable 10,000mAh battery which offers
users up to 10 hours’ average use. Boasting a 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage
expandable to 120GB, the 14-inch GTX weighs a paltry 1.5kg thus making it a
light-weight companion for work, travel and leisure.
For the Kids Legacy Tab, parents and care-givers will find a
fitting device with which to introduce their children to technology and new
vistas of learning, Ekeh said.
In addition to a device manager to enable parents monitor
content, the tablet is pre-loaded with over 50 educational and fun games and
rated as knowledge luxury platform for kids. Available in red, blue and fuchsia
colours, the Wi-Fi enabled Kids Legacy Tab assures 1.2GHz computing power and
extended use with a 2500mAh battery.
Both products will complement the new 8-inch Zpad and will see
an expansion of the scope of offerings in Zinox’s mobile devices products
suite. The Zpad which offers high speed voice and data services has been widely
accepted in the market, a factor that is expected to weigh in favour of the new
devices being rolled out.
The new products with global certifications are designed in the
company’s long-standing tradition of durability, equipped with surge protectors
in consideration of the peculiar power challenges on the continent and are
expected to hit the market this August.
Ekeh describes the partnership with the foreign firms on the new
products as a fitting pointer to the commitment to deliver genuine quality
products that can rival any in the world.
“We have designed a number of new technology products that will
meet the needs of a dynamic audience. These include new gadgets for tech-savvy
youths and business executives as well as tablets for kids. It is important to
understand that our young kids are precocious and more exposed these days.
Also, technology is moving at a very rapid pace so we need to provide
tailor-made products for this emerging generation of kids as well.
”By partnering with Intel, Ashour Corporation, Tecsync
Technology and Microsoft on the roll-out of these new products, we have once
again restated our commitment to world-class quality in line with our
time-honoured tradition of reliability as these tech firms are renowned
world-wide for their research-focused approach to product development and
production,” he said.
