as Transparency
Nigeria, a non-governmental organization, last night in an exclusive interview
with WORLD LEADERS.COM confirmed its readiness to induct men, women and organizations
drawn from various walks of life into its Transparency Hall of Fame.
The induction and award ceremony which is billed for
September 30, 2017 at Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Ikeja, Lagos, is set up by
stakeholders, who have been in the forefront of the national effort towards a
Nigeria of our dream that is devoid of corruption, tribalism, and other vices.
In a release signed by Timothy Okojie Ave, Chairman organizing Committee, the
selection of these men ,women and organizations of transparency was arrived at
through an opinion poll conducted across the country, and was endorsed by its
Board.
According to Okojie Ave, the honor is aimed at the promotion
of transparency in our national life and in business, thus promote development
and one Nigeria. We believe that in a county where vices have become a
virtue ,there are still people and organization that are standing out like
oasis in the desert of a lost hope and are still above board,and radiate
transparency and integrity.
It is these icons of hope we are honoring because this
award is a far departure from the conventional adoration of nuisance value
presently obtained where corrupt people are honour for financial gains.
These icons of transparency to be inducted into
Transparency Hall of Fame include Dr.Boboye Oyeyemi, Captain Fola
Akinkuotu, Sir Mike Okiro,,Mr. Jegede Abiodun Paul, Mr Gbenga Fatimilehi, Mr
Paul Gbededo, Mr Tony Onyeama,Apostle Johnson Sulieman, Hon.Desmond Elliot.
Others are,Mr Ibe Kachukwu, Mr Mutiu Sunmonu, Mrs. Olayinka
Aletor, Lady Isioma Chukwuma, Are Afe Babalola, Hon.Obinna Uzoh, Mr Toyen
Cole, Mrs Ekaette Unoma Ukpabio,prince Donatus Okonkwo, Serike Dickson,
Dr.Engr. Gabriel Adewumi, Chief Leemon Ipkea, Sir.Ike Onyechi,Mr Demola
Ade Ojo, Alh.Kola Oseni, mrs.Sola David Botha.

The event which will attract who is who in Nigeria is
expected to be chaired by the Rt. Hon. Dogora Yakubu, Speaker, Federal House of
Representatives.
The maiden edition of the Award was chained by former
president, late Musa Yar'Adua and the first group of recipients were
