Philosophical Governor David Umahi Offers Recipe For Long Lasting Union

It is not for nothing that Ebonyi state governor Engr  David Umahi is called philosopher of a sort

  • He recently was chairman of a wedding reception and  he advised  the newly married couple to build their marriage on the word of God to surmount the challenges associated with marriages.
He gave the charge during the


solemnisation of holy matrimony between Chuka Egwu who is the son of the first Executive Governor of Ebonyi State and the Senator representing Ebonyi North Zone, Dr. Sam Egwu and former Miss Chidinma Iwe at the township stadium, Abakaliki.


Engr. Umahi who appreciated notable personalities across the country for gracing the occasion congratulated the couples and asked God to bless their marriage.


 "Congratulations for this wonderful union today and the clergyman has said it all. You can only build this marriage on the platform of the word of God. We know we're in the end time where a lot of vices abound but the grace of God is also available to us. So just listen each time you have challenges to the word of God today by our Bishop Okoroafor and I believe strongly the God who brought all these great men and women of God and dignitaries all over the  country is going to bless your marriage and fortify your marriage"


The Governor eulogized Ebonyi people for demonstrating their love for Senator Sam Egwu's family whom he said set the pace for development in the State describing him as the father of the State. "Let me thank my dear people of Ebonyi State for the manner and the ways again you came out to demonstrate the love for our dear father called Dr. Sam Ominyi Egwu, the father of the State because he was the one that laid an irreversible platform of peace in the land. He brought peace.


 He brought love. He uplifted our people when we didn't know what civilization was because of marginalisation".
