* The revered oxford dictionary describes a technocrat as an exponent or advocate of technocracy.
o    A member of technically skilled elite.
In political palaces, a technocrat is specialized politics an expert in science or technology who has a lot of power in or influence with Government or industry

So if such lofty phrases can be used to paint a technocrat, then the Edo State Newly Elected Executive Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki must be viewed as a special new breed politician whose   works experience speaks volume,since he is regarded as a tested and trusted technocrat

But All that will amount to nothing if he fails to show equal love and attention to the entire state of Edo, where he is expected to lead in the next four years The Governor must be told the truth and nothing but the truth, any attempt to surround himself with praise singers and sycophants will do more harm to  his image and legacy  than good


And One Of Such Truth is the urgent need for the governor to personally take a weekend drive to the great university town Of Ekpoma To See how pathetic and most undesirable are some of the road network in the entire Ekpoma kingdom.

 What A Most Ugly And Painstaking  Sight In Ekpoma-rich In Culture And Tradition When This writer went on a trip to Ekpoma recently for a programme in Ujeme, there no words found to describe the experience in the heart of the town not far from the popular Market Square is the Road From Illeh -surrounded by many top banks-to the Popular Iruekpen Community Which Cuts Across the Famous Ambrose Alli

Obaseki Must be Warned (or advised)not to take the path of his godfather and political benefactor, in person of ex Governor Comrade Adams Eric Aliu Oshiomole- whom the average Ekpoma man has little or no regards for According To an investigation carried out in the town, ex governor Oshiomole had pledged to repair the road after several outcry by the people of Esanland Over the Marginalization they have been subjected to by successive Government over the Past Decade and today the people are now wiser in view of the fact that
Oshiomole's pledge was made simply garner political votes in his second term bid in office- four years after his second term in office... who fooled who? Today, All Well meaningful indigence of the state and outsiders alike doing business in the very fast rising breezy  town are appealing passionately to the technocrat governor to embark on a massive Ekpoma road rehabilitation before the raining season commences
A  CROSS section of indigence this writer spoke to, called on the Governor to quickly mobilize the contractors to start work on this massive but deplorable road which is nothing but a big disgrace to the entire state in general, arguing that the economic damage the road has caused are uncountable, causing daily accident on the people and constituting nuisance on the rising profile of the Ekpoma kingdom

Will Obaseki come to the Ekpoma people’s pathetic plight? Only time will tell
