 "Fortune favors the brave" is an old motivational sayings and such is a case that  best befits CORDELIA Okpei, General manager  of the high flying Metro FM
From a humble star off, she now head s her company, her modest story goes thus...A very proud Isoko lady, this graduate of English and Literature from the University of Benin, started her broadcasting career in the late 80s in the then Bendel State. An enthusiastic and versatile presenter, producer, trainer and master of ceremonies, her love for broadcasting has taken her on a world journey in a bid to increase her knowledge of the craft. In her many years behind the microphone, she has had several recognition and won many awards.
Her taste in music tilts towards the exotic and rare sounds of the earth hence the birthing of ‘Deliaz Cafe’ a world music show which is currently called The Café. Cordelia also loves savoring exotic cuisine.


She is one of the voices you hear on the Breakfast Show; “AM Lagos Live” Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 6AM to 10AM and on theNigeria network Network programme “Ogbonge Life” Wednesdays 12:30 – 1:00PM which she anchors in pidgin English. Ms Okpei is currently the General Manager, Metro 97.7 FM Lagos.

.HOW DO YOU  FEEL AS HEAD OF YOUR COMPANY?

Ans; I feel honored because am sure there are others who could have done it too. Though challenging, I enjoy it.

Ans; Not actually cause I didn't think I would work in the corporation that long to attain that chair.

WHAT INSPIRE YOU IN LIFE TO MOVE UP?

Ans; Life inspires me...desire to make a mark too inspires me.

Ans; God. Family. Hard-work. Determination. Foresight. Continuous learning. Humility

Ans; Pride, lies, greed
