NIGERIA’S PRESIDENT, MOHAMMED BUHARI ‘S (GCFR) CHARITABLE SIDE UNVEILED
*A RARE
COMMENDATION FOR FEEDING AND EATING WITH “THE POOR AND Disabled “ON SALLAH DAY
“We must learn to compliment and not criticize”
-Sir Donald John Trump
(America’s billionaire business man and politician)
SPECIAL CHARITY
REPORT BY CHIEF CERUTTI MIKE OSAGIE
ONE of the greatest
women that ever crossed her feet on planet earth is no doubt the selfless woman
called Mother Theresa, she came, she saw and she conquered
In one of
her illustrious quotes, she postulated that in life, “if we cannot feed all hundred
people at once, we must learn to feed just one”
That is a
most iconic statement which forms the thrust of this charity piece. Any visit to the
far Northern state of Nasarrawa will tell you the extent that the present Nigerian
head of state and commander-in-chief, President Mohammed Buhari is loved, hence
for over a decade now and in every election the people of Nasarawaq always
overwhelmingly vote for him
A source
told us that” We love Buhari to the point of death, there are not much leader like
him, he may be ex military coupist, he may be a no nonsense army man but he has
a soft and human heart for the poor and needy in our society
“He rather
live in mud house and with very simple life than see the poor and the needy
(also called Talakawas) go hungry, his doors are always open to help the poor
in the land, hence we love and appreciate him so much”
That is not
just a boastful love; all over that State today are billboard and photos of the
President feeding the poor or administering drugs or vaccines to sick little children
In a country
like ours, just like America, where criticism is the order of the day, perhaps
we can learn one or two things from the billionaire American tycoon and now
Presidential aspirant to the Washington white house, Sir Donald John trump, who
said in one of his books that, “to succeed and succeed well in life, we
must learn to compliment and not criticizer all the time”
The President
Mohammed Buhari GCFR latest move of feeding the poor and displaced people,
including the disable people on Selah day is a move worthy of commendations
Such a move
cannot be described as hypocritical by a man who few months ago fulfilled his long
time pledge to the set of footballers, the Golden Eaglet that first won a world
trophy for Nigeria, he gave his word as then head of state but was overthrown
and his promises went to the marines, but as faith will have it, he returned a
s civilian president and called that old set of Eaglet and fulfilled his pledge
with a princely sum of N2.5 cash to each of the history making boys
Surely such
man must be revered for even the holy books of Bible /Koran spoke deeply on the
power of taking care of the poor and needy ion our society, such are the type
of people after God’s heart
We commend
this gesture of Mr. President and hope that other top Government officials, not
only in Nigeria / the continent Africa in particular, but the
world at large will follow suit and feed the needy in the land
