Prophetess Roseline Oyeleke......MEET THE WOMAN WHO LIVES BY HELPING THE BLIND PEOPLE

"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." This quote describes the life of Prophetess Roseline Oyeleke, a woman who has dedicated her entire life to helping blind people in Nigeria.

Her calling started with a voice. She said she heard a voice clearly telling her, go and make the blind happy. She asked what will I use to make them happy, and the voice replied, you have what they need. When she asked what they need, the answer was simple, support and caring.

At first she disobeyed the voice. She thought it was not her business. But God had a different way of teaching her the assignment, and her life took a dramatic turn that changed everything.

She became blind for two full years. For two years she lived in total darkness. She could not see her family, she could not go anywhere on her own, and she had to depend on people for everything. It was in that darkness she finally understood the pain of blind people.

When God in His mercy restored her sight, her heart was completely transformed. She said her blindness gave her her vision. She decided to use her second chance in life to be the help she once needed.

Today she is not just giving money, she is giving hope, dignity and future. To better equip herself, she is now studying Economics and Special Education in College of Education. She wants to help blind people learn, work and live independently.

Her message to Nigeria is clear and strong. She said blind people are not helpless, they are only sightless. In Nigeria we see them as beggars on the road, but that mindset is wrong. They do not need our pity, they need our opportunity.

She called on Nigeria to give blind people inclusion instead of isolation, education instead of just alms, accessibility in roads, schools and hospitals, and love and respect. She said with braille materials and skills training, they can feed themselves and be useful to the nation.

She also appealed to Nigerians to stop cheating and mocking blind people. Having been blind herself, she knows the pain of depending on others for survival.

Prophetess Roseline Oyeleke is a true definition of a humanitarian. She turned her pain into purpose, and her life proves that Nigeria will be greater when we stop seeing their disability and start seeing their ability.
