By Cerutti Media
Africa's leading beauty exhibition, Beauty in the Motherland, has returned for its 4th edition this year, with activities scheduled to hold from Monday, 5th to Wednesday, 7th October, 2026 at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The advert placed in national newspapers confirms that entry is free, with more details available at http://beautyinthemotherland.com. The three-day showcase is positioned as the continent's largest gathering for beauty professionals, brands and investors.
The 2026 edition is powered by Fidelity Bank Plc, which is headlining the event for the 3rd consecutive year as lead sponsor. According to the bank, the sponsorship reaffirms its commitment to supporting small businesses, female entrepreneurs and the continued growth of Nigeria's beauty industry. Managing Director/CEO, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, described Nigeria's beauty and personal care industry as a vibrant and expanding market valued at around $1.3 billion in 2026, with significant opportunities across manufacturing, wholesale, retail and professional services.Founded by global beauty entrepreneur and market strategist Beatrice Eneh and co-founded by Linda Edozien, Founder and MD/CEO of Barazahi Spa, Beauty in the Motherland was created to celebrate Africa's rich human and natural resources while expanding market access for African brands. The complementary experience of both founders has shaped the platform beyond an annual exhibition, into a movement to make African beauty businesses more visible, structured, investment-ready and globally competitive.
The platform is driven by a bold Vision 2030 goal – to help the African beauty industry attain a $100 billion valuation and position Africa not just as a consumer market, but as a global hub for beauty innovation, manufacturing, talent and investment. This vision underlines the strategic importance of the event at a time when demand for skincare, haircare, fragrances, cosmetics and grooming products is rising rapidly among Nigeria's young population.
According to the organizers, the 2026 edition will feature over 300 leading brands, 400 exhibitors, 10,000 beauty professionals, 60 speakers, 20 partners and participants from 26 countries. Activities lined up include exhibitions, product showcases, business conversations, networking, a business pitch competition, nail art competition, conferences and awards. The event provides opportunities for participating businesses to connect with prospective customers, partners and investors.
Produced in partnership with Fidelity Bank, Unilever and the Enterprise Development Centre, EDC, Beauty in the Motherland has become a credible platform for knowledge-sharing and market expansion. In previous editions, the event hosted over 150 unique beauty brands predominantly owned by Africans, with more than 7,000 attendees and an online campaign reach of over 1.3 million accounts, driven by beauty influencers, celebrities and industry experts.
With ENTRY IS FREE as boldly displayed on the flyer, organizers are inviting beauty entrepreneurs, established brands, retailers, distributors, investors and enthusiasts to join the three-day celebration of innovation and excellence in the motherland. As the doors open today at Eko Hotel & Suites, VI, Beauty in the Motherland 2026 promises to once again set the agenda for the future of beauty on the continent.
