Special Report: Ecobank Adire Lagos Extravaganza Is Here
By Richlist International magazine
The countdown is on. Ecobank Adire Lagos Extravaganza, tagged _Eco Adire: Threads Across Africa, is set to light up Lagos from 11–14 June 2026 at the Ecobank Pan Africa Centre, Victoria Island.
Powered by Ecobank, the Pan African bank, the four-day cultural and commercial showcase will spotlight Adire — Nigeria’s iconic indigo-dyed textile — as both heritage and high fashion. The event aims to position indigenous fabric as a driver of trade, tourism, and creative enterprise across the continent.
Billed as more than an exhibition, _Eco Adire_ will feature master weavers, contemporary designers, SMEs, and fashion entrepreneurs from across Africa. Attendees can expect live dyeing demonstrations, runway showcases, business clinics, and curated market stalls that connect local artisans to global buyers and financiers.
Ecobank’s Pan Africa Centre will transform into a vibrant marketplace of culture and commerce. The bank says the extravaganza aligns with its commitment to SMEs, women-led businesses, and the creative economy — sectors critical to Africa’s growth story. By leveraging its 33-country footprint, Ecobank plans to amplify Adire’s reach beyond Nigeria.
_Threads Across Africa_ is the theme, and collaboration is the goal. The event will convene stakeholders in fashion, finance, tourism, and policy to explore how heritage crafts can scale through digital payments, export linkages, and brand storytelling. Masterclasses on e-commerce, export readiness, and access to finance are slated for participating vendors.
For Lagos, it’s another statement as Africa’s creative capital. For Ecobank, it’s purpose in action: using finance to elevate culture, enterprise, and intra-African trade. The doors open 11 June at the Ecobank Pan Africa Centre
