Special Birthday Tribute Report: Ms. Clara Okoro : Consistency, Vision, and the African Brand Story
“Consistency is what transforms average into excellence.” That truth finds a living example in Ms. Clara Chinwe Okoro, brand and media powerhouse, who recently marked her 2026 birthday with renewed commitment to youth empowerment and African innovation.
In an exclusive interview with Cerutti Media subsidiary platform World Industries Leaders Magazine International Online, she posited: “On my birthday, I celebrate not just another year, but the power and potential of Nigerian youths.
We are resilient, creative, and unstoppable. No matter the challenges around us, we must keep building, dreaming, and lifting each other up. The future is ours to shape — let’s make it count.”_ The statement captures the ethos that has defined her two-decade journey across media, branding, and tech.*Clara Okoro: A Brief Profile
Clara Chinwe Okoro is the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of MY BEAUTIFUL AFRICA, a travel tech company using digital innovation to deliver seamless travel experiences across the continent. She also serves as Executive Producer at Brandworld Media. An accomplished TV host, international resource speaker, multi-award-winning entrepreneur, and media innovator, Clara holds a BA in Education from the University of Lagos.
• Brand Advertisment
Her pioneering spirit is most visible in BRANDWORLD, Nigeria’s first brand-focused television show. At a time when advertising dominated storytelling, she created a platform for brands to share deeper narratives that drive modern economic growth across Africa. That single move repositioned how corporate Nigeria engages audiences, placing strategy and purpose ahead of slogans.
Clara’s influence is global. Her work has earned her a seat at premier platforms including the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Festival of Media in Montreux, Samsung Africa Week in Cape Town, and New York Fashion Week. Through each appearance, she has carried the African brand story into rooms where global agendas are set, insisting that creativity from the continent is not peripheral — it is central.
The road here demanded sacrifice. Early in her career, Clara turned down an opportunity with Gulf Oil, now Chevron, choosing instead to pursue her passion for transforming creative intelligence into a tool for economic advancement. That decision now reads like prophecy.
• Brand Advertisment
Today, through My Beautiful Africa, she is harnessing technology to reshape travel, tourism, and hospitality, driving competitiveness and growth for African destinations.
Beyond business, her leadership footprints are institutional. She serves as Emeritus Chairman of the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) and as Sub-Group Team Lead for the Infosystems/Data/Statistics Sub-Group of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) Tourism and Hospitality Thematic Group.
A member of Women in Hospitality Nigeria, she has also been named one of the five African Women in Tourism to Watch. At the core, she remains committed to empowering women and advancing Africa’s global tourism narrative — proof that consistency of vision, paired with bold action, builds legacy.*Cerutti Media / World Industries Leaders Magazine International
