Human Capital Development.....NCAA Emphasizes Compliance with Aviation Regulations in Meeting with Wakanow Officials

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) today received a courtesy visit from Wakanow, led by its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Adenike Macaulay, at the Authority's Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.

Director-General of Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo, emphasized the importance of visa verification processes and compliance with consumer protection obligations, reaffirming NCAA's commitment to ease of doing business without compromising regulatory standards.

Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, Mr. Michael Achimugu, highlighted the need for strict compliance with Part 19 of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs) 2023, focusing on consumer protection and the Hon. Minister's five-point agenda.

Achimugu noted that timely resolution of passenger complaints is mandatory, with a 14-day timeline for refunds and dispute resolution.

Director of Air Transport Regulation, Mrs. Olayinka Babaoye-Iriobe, commended Wakanow for its achievements and called for continued collaboration to foster a resilient aviation ecosystem.

Wakanow's MD/CEO, Mrs. Adenike Macaulay, expressed concerns over passengers booking tickets without valid visas and sought NCAA's cooperation on data sharing, assuring commitment to addressing issues and complying with regulations.




The meeting included discussions on enhancing collaboration and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.
NCAA and Wakanow reiterated their commitment to working together to improve the aviation sector.
