The landscape of leadership is shifting, and women like Dr. Viola Akhigbe are at the forefront, paving the way for a brighter future. As President of FEGGO Ladies of Legacy, Dr. Akhigbe has been recognized for her exceptional contributions to society, being inducted as Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Leadership and Mentorship (ICLM), Lagos Chapter.

This prestigious honor, conferred on February 12, 2026, at Rockview Hotel, Festac, Lagos, is a testament to Dr. Akhigbe's unwavering commitment to visionary leadership and positive impact. She's the first female Fellow of ICLM, Lagos Chapter, and was also inaugurated as a member of the Coordinating Committee, leading the Chapter.

Dr. Akhigbe's induction is more than just a recognition of her achievements; it's a call to greater service. As she emphasized in her remarks, "such recognition is not a trophy to brag with, but a call to greater service." Her leadership embodies the ICLM theme: Advancing Visionary Leadership for Positive Impact & Organizational Growth.


With over two decades of experience in education, research, and leadership development, Dr. Akhigbe has made a lasting impact in Nigeria and beyond. She's delivered on over 200 local and international engagements, designed and facilitated over 60 workshops, and impacted over 10,000 executives, professionals, and students.

As President of FEGGO Ladies of Legacy, Dr. Akhigbe leads the mandate to amplify Female VOICE (Visibility, Opportunity, Intentionality, Capacity, and Equity) in Leadership for Legacy. Her work is a beacon of hope for women and girls aspiring to make a difference.

Dr. Akhigbe's impressive track record includes authoring/co-authoring over 100 creative works, writing/editing over 50 client publications, and serving on more than 20 boards, councils, and committees. She's a recipient of over 60 national and international awards, including the Vice-Chancellor's Prize for the Best Performance at the Degree Level 2005 and Inspirational Person of the Year 2025.

Her recently delivered SSETS programme made Top 3 Finalist in Impact-Led Initiative for “Bridging the gap between Academia and Industry in Nigeria” at the Knowledge Exchange UK Awards 2025.
