Uba Bank Fraud Awareness Week 2025 Is Here... Theme: “Combating Fraud Risk & Cyber‑Theft in Digital Banking”

Lagos, Nigeria – 21 November 2025 – United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has successfully launched its flagship Fraud Awareness Week, a week‑long digital campaign aimed at strengthening trust in the bank’s digital channels and equipping customers and staff with the tools to fight fraud in the era of online banking 

The event kicks off today via live streams on UBA’s official YouTube channel and Zoom webinar hosted by the UBA Group, offering a series of interactive sessions, expert panels, and anti‑fraud clinics designed to raise awareness of the latest cyber‑threats and best practices for secure digital banking . 

The Cerutti Media Group can reveal authoritatively that this year’s theme underscores UBA’s commitment to “Beyond Banking” by fostering a culture of vigilance, accountability, and collective responsibility across the entire financial ecosystem.

The programme features a stellar lineup of speakers: Sheri Adegbenro (Digital Security Advocate), Prof. Godwin Oyedokun (Cybersecurity Expert, University of Lagos), _Kayode Ajayi_ (Head of Fraud Risk Management, UBA), _Bright Anyawu_ (FinTech Innovator), _Fiyinfolu Okedere_ (Legal Counsel, UBA), and _Adebayo Adebeshin_ (Chief Information Security Officer, UBA). 

Each speaker will share insights on emerging fraud typologies, regulatory trends, and practical steps for customers to safeguard their accounts 


Attendees can look forward to a dynamic panel discussion on “Cyber‑Theft in Digital Banking,” live demos of fraud‑detection tools, and a Q&A session where participants can ask questions directly to the experts. In addition, UBA will roll out a series of short educational videos, downloadable checklists, and a virtual “Fraud‑Fighters” challenge to encourage active participation and reward proactive behavior
