As part of its ongoing commitment to investing in human capital as a strategic driver of the Group’s broader ambitions, Heirs Holdings Group is pleased to announce the appointment of two exceptional leaders to key positions within the organization.

*Azubike Emodi Appointed MD/CEO of Afriland Properties Plc

Azubike Emodi has been appointed as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Afriland Properties Plc. He succeeds Uzo Oshogwe, the founding MD/CEO who has successfully led the company since its inception in 2013 and has recently taken on the role of CEO at Transcorp Hotels Plc.

With over 20 years of experience in financial services, real estate development, and strategic planning, Azubike is a visionary leader known for driving organizational growth and delivering transformative results. His impressive track record includes leadership roles at the Royal Bank of Canada, VFD Group, VBank, Anchoria Asset Management, and most recently, Herel Global, where he spearheaded high-impact financial and real estate projects.

In his new role, Azubike will focus on advancing the vision of Afriland Properties, leveraging its position as one of Nigeria’s largest land banks to deliver significant residential and commercial real estate projects from its extensive project pipeline.



Chidi Okpala Appointed Executive Director – Payments, Group Integration & Strategy*

Chidi Okpala has been appointed as the Executive Director for Payments, Group Integration & Strategy (PGIS) across Heirs Holdings Group. In this capacity, he will lead the Group’s technology and healthcare business sectors and collaborate with the leadership team to execute strategies that support the Group’s ambitious expansion plans.

Chidi brings over two decades of leadership experience across financial services, FinTech, telecommunications, and strategy consulting. He has worked with prominent firms such as Accenture, United Bank for Africa, and Bharti Airtel International. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Asante Financial Services Group.

Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings, expressed his confidence in the new appointments, stating, "I am confident in the value these leaders will bring to our Group."
