This quote by Sir Henry Wadsworth best captured the life and times of Prof Mike  OZEKHOME who recently clocked the historical landmark age of 66

In this special Tribute report,we will attempt to feed you with few things you may never have known About the legal luminary wordsmith brand

1:His full names are  Mike Agbedor Abu Ozekhome and he hails from  Iviukwe, Agenebode in Edo State

2: Beyond being a   lawyer and human rights activist, holding the rank of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, he is also an international orator who can stand for hours speaking without a written speech

3: He is perhaps among the only few living with multiple titles, they include : SAN,CON,OFR, FCIArb, LL.M, Ph.D, LL.D, D.LITT.

His traditional title is called :Akpaka vikiviki)

5: He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (at the time, known as the University of Ife), graduating in 1980. He then attended the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island Lagos (1981).

6:Former chief Kanmi-Isola Osobu served as his pupil advisor following his admittance to the Nigerian Bar in July, 1981

7: He was to sensationally return to Obafemi Awolowo University to earn his Master of Laws (LL.M.), receiving the degree in 1983.

8: Prior to earning his LL.M., Ozekhome was posted to the Ministry of Justice, Yola as a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and then to the Federal Ministry of Justice, Lagos State. From there, he served as state counsel for the National Provident Fund (now Nigerian Social Insurance and Trust Fund (NSITF).

9: He  joined the chambers of the activist human rights lawyer and social crusader, the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi, where he gradually rose to become the Deputy Head of Chambers, a position he held till 1985.

10: History was made when  he founded his own multi-office firm, Mike Ozekhome's Chambers, in 1986- today his Abuja chambers is unarguably rated as one of the most elegant law Chambers in Africa



12:  In 2010, he was one of 19 senior legal practitioners conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

13: His choice of career has made him to serve the high and mighty in the land this reminding us of the great proverbial words of King David which says..." Do you see a man who is skilled in his works? He will serve before kings and not obscure men 





14: Prof Mike Ozekhome is a very stylish man who does not joke with the best things of life...good perfumes, elegant cars & choice properties, for a man that works so hard round the clock deserves a good life while on earth
