Leaders Today...Enter the Premium Prolific Profile. Of Dr Kuforiji, Peace Corps Lagos Commandant

A lot has no doubt be said of the organization Called Peace Corps of Nigeria and their efforts in restoring peace and harmony in the Country

We recently caught up with their Lagos State commandant , enjoy his prolific profile

Dr. Olanrewaju Williams Kuforiji  Mba, Fipee, faie, fsfs, fcss was born in Lagos State into the family of Evangelist, elder Ezekiel Akanni Kuforiji, in ODEDAH Local government Area of Abeokuta, Ogun State on 20th August 1972.

He started his education at St David Nursery and Primary School, located in New Eruwa, Ibarapa Local government area, Oyo state where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1986.

Thereafter, he attended Community High School where he left in JSS 2 back to Lagos state to join Gbagada Grammar School, gbagada, Bariga, where he obtained his SSCE Certificate in 1993.

In 2002, Dr. Olanrewaju Williams attended the famous LASU, Lagos State University, Ojo where he bagged a BSc degree in INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS AND PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT in August 2008. He started his banking career with the then OCEANIC BANK PLC where he served as a PA to the MD/ CEO, Dr. Mrs. CECILIA IBRU, after the Bank was acquired by Eco-Bank Pan African proceeded to Access Bank plc in 2012 - 2017, while he was working he got a lot of professionals training and skills acquisition.

In 2018 in joined the First Bank of Nigeria where he worked as an EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT to the CHIEF TECHNOLOGY AND DIGITAL OFFICER till 2020 when the coronavirus outbreak forced all companies to start working from home.

Interestingly,  he joined the then-Nigeria Militia Corps in 1992 when he was preparing for his WAEC.

In November 2012 he had his Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management from the African Institute of Enterprise Development and Management.

Having completed and satisfactorily passed the examination required for Executive Master business administration he got his MBA in Organizational Sustainability Management.

In November 2022 he got his Doctoral fellowship in Enterprise Management from the African Institute of Enterprise Development & Management. ( D.FEM)

He had certifications in several professional and Management courses.

It will interest you to know that Dr. Olanrewaju Williams has served in many secondary Schools in Lagos during the pilot phase of this Noble Organization,

He was one time the National Provost Marshal.

-The first Oyo State Commandant.

- The first Kwara State Commandant.

He was the Deputy State Commandant, of Lagos state, and 2iC in charge of Administration from 2021 before the national Commandant, Prof. A.O., Dickson Ameh Akoh appointed him as the substantive Commandant of Lagos state in April 2022.

Dr. Olanrewaju Williams since his appointment hit the ground running with the vision of the founding fathers and is to rejig, reenergize, revitalize,  revamp, re-focus, restructure, and reposition the Corps in the state for better performance. 

 The Peace Corps of Nigeria, Lagos State Command under his watch had been rejuvenated and has not only recorded a string of successes in repositioning the Organization.

He has ensured tremendous improvement in the operational capacity and capabilities of the Corps with its operatives distinguishing themselves not only in the discharge of the core mandate of the Corps but equally at the various Federal and State remaining parts.

This feet has earned him a commendation from the National for his display of extraordinary patriotism, professionalism, and commitment

Dr. Olanrewaju Williams is happily married with children. He loves travelling around the world and doing charity works
