A lot has no doubt  been said about The New Yam Festival of the Igbo people  which is an annual cultural festival by the Igbo people that is held at the end of the year or end of  rainy season 


The  "new-yam eating" is practiced throughout West Africa (especially in Nigeria and Ghana) and other African countries and beyond,[symbolizing the conclusion of a harvest and the beginning of the next work cycle. 








The celebration is very culturally based occasion, tying individual Igbo communities together as essentially bringing others well-wishers onboard


Just last week in the Federal Capital City of Abuja,the Igbo Communication Assemble of Ado Karu held a most wonderful and historical  annual new yam festival that had the award winning charitable business woman , Evangelist Ambassador Cassandra Martina as the mother of the day


A most dedicated traditional lover,she was there to add panash to the event that saw people from all walls of life on attendance


Speaking over from her Abuja base the property development expert told us


" I am.very proud of the Igbo race and the new yam festival it is a long traditional ceremony that is now celebrated all-over the world and pray that Almighty God the author of finisher of this world keep us all United in all we embark on" she disclosed
