According to an age old saying " The journey of a thousand miles begin with a step"

 And only last night, the fast global rising story of the Abakiliki Rice was the topic of discussion when Dr PST Lazarus Nwaorie, the Chairman/CEO of the famous Umuokpete Conglomerate, producers of the fast selling Lajetsco Rice, openly commended the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State Engr David Umahi for his amazing role he played in bringing world attention to Abakiliki in particular and Ebonyi State inn general 

Speaking to WORLD LEADERS in Abuja last night,DR Lazarus stated categorically 

 " The Ebonyi Governor deserves commendation for encouraging more local farmers to focus on rice, he has made Abakiliki rice global, he transformed it from what was formerly Abakiliki sand rice to now be called Abakiliki world rice...we must all rise in praise and pour  encomium on  the Governor  " he sated 



 DR Lazarus, who was in Abuja with trucks of his brand of rice was quick to point out three reasons why the Lajetsco product is now the product to beat in terms of local rice production

 *Well nutrient and capable of even healing  skeletal organs (like bones)  and thirdly 

 *We make sure our rice pass through several standard in quality and never will you find stones in our product " he postulated
