Expert in Petrochemical & Environmental Engineering, Chief Dr Basil Chukwura Ezeamiekwe Clears The Air... Says “I am not seeking for any Government portfolio
Shortly after he aired his views on the future of Nigeria by
advising Nigeria's President & Commander in Chief, President Mohammedu
Buhari GCFR to make every effort to develop Nigeria positively as he did during
his days as Head of the Petroleum Trust Fund ( PTF) many have gone about
speculating that such advice must have been a ploy for him to secure a plum top
Government portfolio or a ministerial appointed
But in a swift reaction last night, the former Group Executive
GM of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Chief Dr Basil has
stated in clear categorical terms that his advises and observation on the state
of the nation must not be viewed in bad or sentimental light
In his words " After spending a record 35 meticulous years
at NNPC and having served both in Port Harcourt, Warri, Kaduna and Abuja, I
feel very fulfilled with all my years and exposure and I feel a very strong
urge to give back in form of experience the best of training - both global and
local I got from NNPC"
" All my advice and observation is for the betterment of my
fatherland Nigeria and what I have said both at home and in my overseas tours
is for benefits of Nigeria's advancement and the ultimate beneficiaries are the
Nigerian nation
‘Having officially retired from public service and currently the
MD/CEO of my organization, Kriscape international Ltd and having also been only
recently conferred with the prestigious honor of a Doctor of Science in
Engineering & Corporate Leadership (Honoris Causa) by the European American
University Dominica, I feel I owe it a natural duty to share my experience and
exposure to my Country of birth " he postulated
Asked what he will do if called to come and serve in the present
regime, he was most emphatic
“If officially called, I will not decline the national call; I
will step in and contribute my quota in form of advisory. it’s a national
call" he reemphasized
