day in future, when stories in political science case studies will be told of individuals in different political parties who damned the
consequences in border and became good friends parties differences
notwithstanding, two men that will enjoy
a place of prime mention are none other
than President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR and the Executive Governor Of Ebonyi
State, Engineer David Umahi
Yes, they are both of opposing parties, PDP
/APC
but that has not affected their deep friendship, to those who know them
better, they are very close friends and they make no singe secret of it, for
Umahi has never hidden his love for the President, 
and the Presidency on her
part has on several occasion included Umahi name as a VIP travelling guest of
the President to many overseas

Indeed, world human right activist, Sir Martin
Luther King, Jr. was point blank most categorical when he once muse that
“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend”
Such is story of Umahi/Buhari and as the
President sets to visit Ebonyi today, expect nothing but an eye popping
reception in the entire Ebonyi state
Umahi had in past
severally noted that “ Buhari is a
friend of the state in spite of belonging to the All Progressives Congress
(APC). He is the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and party and
governance are different," he said.
Umahi once said: “The
presidency will tell me if the president wants traditional rulers to meet with
him. None of the opposition parties can pull the traditional rulers out without
my consent. The people (presidency) know how to contact me and I will assemble
all the traditional rulers to meet the president.”
Umahi
had in last yuletide produced rice in bags with his photo/wife alongside Buhari
and Aisha on it,
Indeed one of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.
