The Holy books is explicitly clear on lace and importance of taking care of widows

 Here are few evidence

 * 1 Timothy 5:3-6 
Honor widows who are truly widows. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show godliness to their own household and to make some return to their parents, for this is pleasing in the sight of God. She who is truly a widow, left all alone, has set her hope on God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day, but she who is self-indulgent is dead even while she lives.
If any believing woman has relatives who are widows, let her care for them. Let the church not be burdened, so that it may care for those who are truly widows.
The Lord tears down the house of the proud but maintains the widow's boundaries.
Now as if taking lessons from the holy books, a Senator representing Anambra-North Senatorial District, Princess Stella Oduah  has pledge to forever carry the plight of widows in her shoulders for the rest of her life 



In a revert message to CERUTTI CORPORATIONS subsidiary outlet WORLD LEADERS.COM,  the senator exhorted the widows not to lose hope. 

 She asked them to adopt Jesus Christ as their husband who is not only the giver of life but one who can take away life as he pleases.

 "Jesus is the best hope, his loe is unconditional and he is very compassionate, He is all one needs in  in times of pains and sorrow"  Oduah said

 She remains optimistic about making life better for  widows and the less privileged people and appealed to the widows never to lose hope or doubt ability of God  to give them peace and joy for the rest part of their lives
