No nonsense Nigeria Inspector General of police, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris says his men are set for the much  talked about Edo Governorship election 2016 and will not  waste time in dealing ruthlessly with anyone trying to cause confusion or violence this weekend in Edo state before, during or after the elections



In the same vein, Alhaji Idris has assured the nation and the world at large that the Nigerian police will do all her best to ensure total neutrality on Election Day and no candidate will be favored over another candidate
“We want to assure the political world that the 2016 Edo election will be nothing but neutral, we will not take side or protect one candidate over the other, as at this moment, the Nigerian police has placed a strategic operational order for the Edo poll come Saturday and as we speak, helicopters, marine police officers and over 200 hundred patrol vehicle have been deployed along with thousand police men/women to all over Edo, to send a warning signal that violence will never be tolerated


“We pledge neutrality and I wish to use this opportunity to remind and advice all police Commissioners of State to make judicious use of the resources at their disposal to ensure peace, fairness and objectivity during the Elections”
