Speaking in a chat with us, Deputy  Controller of immigration
Dr Segun Adegoke commended the team and urged them to bring the gold home , he said" FOOTBALL is what unites Nigerians  and with the under 23 team now in semi finals,we need nothing but gold from them,we believe in them and  they must use the Nigerian spirit to crush the German machine he said

On his part,Barrister Ezeeobi Chinedu
a sport philanthropist and president Ikota shopping mall said effort of  Sport minister,Solomon Dalung 
must be commended for paying back the over $4,000 owed Mikel Obi because NIGERIA IS A NATION OF DIGNITY

" If the 1996 team can beat Brazil/Argentina and co to win gold,nothing must stop this team, we at Ikota and Nigerians as whole wish them luck,we need the gold to wipe the present state of affairs in Nigeria,we love and believe in the team and their coach"he said
