RMD'S OLYMPIC ASPIRATION FOR NIGERIA, AND THE ALHASSAN YAKMUT STOP OF OLYMPIC JAMBOREE RUNS

Not so long ago, front line actor, brand Ambassador ad business man, Richard Mofe Damijo(RMD) made a sterling confession as regards his desire for Nigeria
He did not talk economy or movies, he simply said that: ‘My biggest desire is in sport front, I pray and hope to see the day Nigeria will play in world cup finals, if they get the gold or silver is not my worry, let us just pay in finals’’
He went on to posit that his second desire is for Nigeria to win the 100 meters Olympics gold. IS that a wish list? Indeed if wishes were horses, beggars will see light

Now, all that may not be mere wish list, the  hard pushing Nigeria sports DIRECTOR General, Dr  Al-Hassan Saleh Yakmut, a thorough bread one time sports man, turned astute administrator, is saying it loud and clear that the coming Olympics will see Nigeria’s athlete making records they have not made before

‘The RIO Olympic I wish to assure our people that it will not be business as  usual, we are going to Olympics ,not jamboree, we are going with only the games  that we have bright winning medal potential, that will help our focus, that will make us aim for gold in areas that where hitherto seen as jinx’’ he said recently

If Nigeria does well, it will be glory for the nation in love with sport ,led by an equally sport loving President Mohammad Buhari and for sure,  DR Al-Hassan Saleh Yakmut, whose story is that of grass to grace-yet remains one of the most  astute and humble administrator around today
