The legendary Sir Winston Churchill was most categorical on his candid view on being the best when he mused “It is not enough that we do our best; sometimes we must do what is required.”

Such attitude  of being the best is perhaps what must have shot Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, one of Africa’s leading financial institution to the top again when she was once  once again reaffirmed as  a foremost African global brand after it was bestowed the ‘Best Bank in Nigeria’ during the 2015 Euromoney Awards held in London at the Natural History Museum recently.
The Euromoney Awards for Excellence covers more than 20 global product categories, best-in-class awards and the best banks in over 100 countries around the world by recognizing institutions that have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and momentum in the markets they operate.
In selecting its recipients, Euromoney combines quantitative and qualitative data to honor institutions that have brought the highest levels of service, innovation and expertise to their customers.
According to Mr. Clive Horwood, Euromoney Magazine’s Editor, “Competition for the awards this year was tough, arguably the toughest it has been since the start of the global financial crisis.
