Was it not the great thinker and philosopher Carl Lotus Becker who once posited that: “Serious thinkers are few, and the world is ruled by crude ideas.”?
That was what this wordsmith found out for the umpteenth time last weekend during an impromptu visit to the office of Hon Abiola Afolabi,the hyper active enigma in charge of this weekend Emerging African leader Integrity Award 2015,situated at the Reconnaissance hotel,just by Shop rite,Ikeja LAGOS
The writer had anticipated that this years EAL INTEGRITY AWARD was last Saturday but alas it will be happening on 13 June 2015,however the trip was not in vain as we stepped into the lobby of the immaculate hotel and found a EAL team, already busy sorting out last minute event details
Immediately with wave of hand this writer was invited to-join in,and what a session, this is not a conventional interview session but few taking while Hon Afolabi the thinker was speaking to her team and motivating them
ON SHE BEING A LITTLE TIRED THAT DAY?
She divulged: ''Am not a little tired,am really tired but I cant afford to stop walking, I believe in precision and excellence so i got to keep going to make the EAL INTEGRITY AWARDS going and aiming for huge success come June 13 2015,so if you see me in a beautiful wigs in sunlight
do not get carried away,it is like rainbow light in very sunny surface
ON WHY SHE IS 24 HOURS ON GO TO MEET HER VISION?
She charged:'' One of my mentors,Rev Kalejaiye of Redeem Church once advised me to work and pray without ceasing so as to always have provision for my vision,in his words, VISION WITHOUT PROVISION IS BUT TELEVISION, so if you see me working round the clock do not blame me,in a country like ours,many are not willing to help you provide provision for your vision''
ON WHY SHE GOES OUT OF HER WAY TO PROJECT ALL HER EVENTS IN MASS GLOBAL MEDIA INCLUDING WORLD NUMBER ONE CNN
She was emphatic, my dad trained me never to-think local but global, I do not joke with publicity of all my events because of my believe that it is good to-let expert handle your works,am-not PR expert so I make sure all my works are handled by capable media consultant simply because of my believe that no Doctor can heal himself
ON HER MASSIVE FAITH IN GOD
She replied,Ilive by faith,am last to-give up hope in God,I may not have a million or a thousand in my account but that will not stop me from planning huge global multimillion naira projects,God love us to have faith and look to him,not man,I cannot quit half way,because money to me is not cash,I may not have billions in liquid cash but my ides runneth over,the word of God is my light,my mentor and Pastor Father Chris Oyakilomeh always tells-us until you see it and imagine it you cannot have it by faith
ON NEW SECRET SHE FOUND
Yes I found new secret to-success and whatever you found your hand into or you that is your ministry and stay focus in it, DO-NOT JOKE WITH IT, BE RUTHLESS for that is your ministry from God
