HOPE COMES ALIVE FOR THE BLIND AS....Blind And Restoration Foundation /JSP Gives Supports Ten Blind Students

The Legendary English statement, Lord Halifax, was most categorical in his revert on why he was constantly giving to the disadvantaged mortal during his prime, in his words’ “Service is the price we pay for our rent on earth”. Such service was Repeated   last week in Lagos, when the African Blind and Restoration foundation in Association with leading public relations company,JSP  made a whopping  donation to the Nigerwives Braille Book Production Center for the training and convention of ten student towards been computer literate.
Speaking during the check presentation at the Kings College Annex, Victoria Island last week, the founder and member board of trustees of the foundation Dr. Philip Osagie told the exclusive gathering that the African Blind and Restoration Foundation that they were motivated  to supporting a group of blind student in their drive to be computer literate because of the cardinal mission of the African Blind Foundation.
In his words; “At the African Blind and Restoration Foundation, we are motivated by our three Cardinal goal which includes but not limited to prevention of blindness; educating the blind and encouraging them that there is hope in life, being virtually referred not withstanding”. He assured that the ten student that are blind being sponsored today is just a first step of many blind student that will be supported so that they can be transformed to computer literate citizens and eventually be able to enjoy best of career jobs available in several of today’s blue chip companies.

On her part, Mrs. Megan Olusanya, the Administrator of Nigerwives Braille Production Centre, speaking on behalf of the blind students stated that it was most motivational that the blind students  will now get a life-long break to be computer literate, and thanked Dr. Phil Osagie and the African Blind and Restoration foundation  for reaching out to the Braill Centre promising that with such laudable financial grant, the select ten blind student will now be trained effectively to be computer literate in line with the Braille Centre’s goal that every blind mortal that can read and write be made computer literate, so as to enable therm be able to get   a corporate job in the society and live on hope for a brighter tomorrow.


With this gesture, needy  blind person’s will get a life changing opportunity to be empowered and equipped to participate … in the new technology driven knowledge economy. In his viewpoint,Mr. Michael Fadeyi, a member of the Board of trustees of the Association  hailed the initiative of helping the blind, and noted that the Executive of the Nigerian Blind Association will love more corporate body to come to the aids of the blind to make them computer literate  and integrate  in global society
